Octapharma specializes in the development of highly pure pharmaceuticals made of human blood
plasma. As part of a family-owned enterprise, Octapharma in Vienna is not only the largest production
site, but also a successful research location of the Octapharma Group. Since our company continues
to grow, we are now hiring for our team a
Corporate API is the owner of the bulk production processes starting from blood plasma pooling including protein fractionation, purification and virus inactivation until hand over to pharmaceutical production.
Your new challenges which will inspire you:
Lead standardization projects for processes and equipment between different production sites
Manage technology transfer projects within the Octapharma group
Collaborate on Extension Projects
Support the Head of the department in the field of Corporate API Production Responsibility
Responsible for Development and Implementation of production equipment, facilities and accompanied utilities in case of process improvement, upscale and/or transfers
Represent production in the technical discussions with supplier
Monitor technological developments in the field and assess possible upsides for production
Your profile that will convince us:
Completed University degree in Bio Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Mechanical or Process Engineering (or similar)
At least 3 years of work experience of similar role
Experience in the plasma industry or any other highly regulated industry would be a plus
Project Management skills with an analytical and problem-solving mindset
Very good communication skills in English; German is appreciated, but not mandatory
Willingness to travel up to 20%
